Grilling season is back!  Let's kick it off with a delicious Grilled Steak Salad topped with strawberries, blue cheese, corn and toasted walnuts!

For the Steak

  • 2 sirloin steaks 6-8 oz. each
  • ½ Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

For the Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the Salad

  • 8 cups spring mix
  •  cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup corn fresh or canned
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts lightly toasted
  •  cups blue cheese crumbled


For the Steak

  • Rub both sides of steaks with vegetable oil. Using a small bowl, combine kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. Sprinkle mixture evenly onto both sides of steaks.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (~400°F).
  • Grill steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach desired doneness.
  • Let steaks rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Slice steaks against the grain into thin strips.

For the Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • Using a small bowl or jar, add all of the vinaigrette ingredients (olive oil, balsamic, Dijon mustard, honey, salt and pepper); stir or shake until well combined.

For the Salad

  • Divide spring mix evenly into 4 bowls. Top with sliced strawberries, corn, toasted walnuts, blue cheese and steak.
